Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains in plain language what information Payday Audit collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We've kept this as straightforward as possible. No legal jargon.
Payday Audit is owned and operated by Takes A Village Financial Inc., an Alberta, Canada corporation. In this policy, "Payday Audit," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Takes A Village Financial Inc. and the Payday Audit service.
We collect only what we need to provide the service:
Payday Audit does not store your full credit card number, bank account number, social insurance number, social security number, or any information that could be used to access your financial accounts. Payday Audit is a planning tool. It never connects to your bank or financial institutions.
Payment details are collected and processed by Stripe through Stripe-hosted checkout and billing portal pages. Stripe may process information such as your name, email, billing address, payment method details, transaction amount, purchase date, subscription status, invoice details, refund or chargeback information, and fraud-prevention signals.
Your information is used solely to make Payday Audit work for you:
That's it. We have no advertising, no data brokers, and no hidden revenue streams tied to your data.
We want to be crystal clear about this:
Your data is encrypted both when it's being transmitted (moving between your browser and our servers) and when it's stored. We use industry-standard security practices to keep your information safe, including:
Payday Audit uses a small number of cookies and browser storage to keep you logged in and to save your in-progress budget while you're working on it. Specifically:
We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies in Payday Audit. Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies on Stripe-hosted checkout and billing portal pages to process payments, prevent fraud, remember payment preferences, or support services such as Link. No one is following you around the internet because of Payday Audit.
You are in control of your data:
Some billing, invoice, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and legal records may need to be retained after an account deletion request where required or permitted by law. When that happens, we retain only what is necessary for those purposes.
Payday Audit is not intended for children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
We use a small number of trusted services to run Payday Audit:
These providers have their own privacy policies and are bound by their own data protection obligations. We chose them specifically for their strong security track records.
You can learn more about Stripe's privacy practices in the Stripe Privacy Policy.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we'll make reasonable efforts to notify you via email or a notice within the app.
If you have any questions about this privacy policy, want to exercise your data rights, or just want to know more about how we handle your information, email us at hello@paydayaudit.app. We're real people and we're happy to help.
